    Hi

I bought ‘The Art of Undressing’ for $2 at a secondhand shop in Brisbane, Australia (that’s where I live) two days ago. I finished reading it in just over a day and I truly loved it so I wanted to tell you. Discovering it in amongst a mess of books in a funny little shop really enhanced the unexpected-treasure vibe I got as soon as I started reading it. You are very clever. At heart a really, really great rom-com but along the way you somehow managed to offer a lot of insightful commentary on female perceptions of self and sex. Gosh, I’m a 36-year-old married Mum of four and I felt like I learned stuff about myself. As I said, I just loved it. I’ve ordered two of your other books just now on The Book Depository. Can’t wait to get reading. As a wannabe writer, you’ve inspired me. Thanks.

      Hi Sarah,
So glad to hear that my book found its way to Australia. At least its getting some sunshine! And I’m flattered to have been an inspiration. I hope you are writing away!

I have finished the astor place vintage, I read it in catalán, la botiga de roba vintage. And I really enjoyed reading it. I loved Olive story that transported me to different period of time in a different country with very different social enviorment (I live in Barcelona) but I guess similar feelings. Think you!

Marta, Wonderful to hear from you all the way from Barcelona. I’m so glad you enjoyed the book. I visited Barcelona a few years ago when my daughter was going to school there and thought it was beautiful!

My friend and I went to a local thrift shop and there happened to be two of Astor Place Vintage so we thought it was meant to be that we both get them and read it together. I just finished it today and I absolutely loved it.

    Hi Stephanie,
I’m an avid reader. I just finished reading Astor Place Vintage. It was definitely one of the best books that I have ever read. It was very moving. I cried a lot at the end. I love Olive, Angelina, Sadie and of course Amanda. I also love the historic accuracy of the book.
I totally identify with the fact that NYC has been going condo. Libraries, hospitals, etc are being destroyed. It’s very sad what’s happening. I’ve been trying to save the libraries with Citizens Defending Libraries.
Keep writing! Be a part of the Brooklyn Book Festival!
